I recently left my job at the Center for South Asia Studies at UC Berkeley to pursue an M.A. in History at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi, India. I received my B.A. in Political Science and South Asian Studies from UC Berkeley in 2007. My senior thesis, advised by Professor Bonnie Wade of the Music Department, was on the subject of hereditary caste musicians of Delhi. I also study tabla with Dr. Aneesh Pradhan. Areas of Interest South Asia, cultural history, ethnography, performing arts, archiving, Diaspora studies, Indian languages & literatures
