Web Applications for Indian Musicians

A podcast that I edited for Underscore Records.

On September 10, 2009 Underscore Records held a workshop entitled “Web Applications Made Easy for Music Makers” in Pune. The purpose of the day-long seminar was to introduce Indian musicians and instrument makers to web-based applications that could enhance their online communication abilities and professional networking opportunities. Participants were invited from Maharashtra, and many of them also attended an earlier workshop called Sangeet Aapkaa, Sangat Internet Ki in June 2009.

Attendees learned the basic ins & outs of creating a blog, Facebook page, LinkedIn account, and online music distribution.

The experts for the workshop were:

Parimala Inamdar, an expert in educational technology design and research and currently, holding the post of Assistant Professor and Head Design Lab, Center for Research in Cognitive Systems, The NIIT Institute (TNI).

Gaurav Vaz: Bass guitarist and Software Engineer, also currently Vice President, MuckWork, a music related startup.
